Musician. Songwriter. Worshipper.

A lifelong love of music has culminated in these new releases.

A labor of love and inspiration, gifted from Heaven.

Mark had his first experience composing music when he was 6 years old.  The instrument of creation was a Steinway baby grand at a friend of the family’s house.  Though no prodigy, the wife of the owner of the house said  “Your son clearly has an aptitude for making music” upon listening to the creation event for roughly 20 minutes.  It was the first time Mark had even touched a piano.  His parents did all they could to support him, but with the difficulties that arose in family life, further encouragement and formal training were next to non-existent.

The family relocated, and new life was breathed into his musical sails in Junior and Senior High School.  There he became a 1st chair tenor through the remainder of his schooling. Mark’s choir director supported his passion for music, and he inspired Mark to write a piece on his acoustic guitar and sing it for the schools upcoming talent show during his senior year. The song “Sands of Time” was born and he received a standing ovation from the 900+ student body and faculty.  Mark was barely able to walk off stage, being so stunned by the response to his song and music.  Backstage, his choir director was awaiting him with a big smile.  Mark had grown in his appreciation of the man and considered him a mentor.  The director said, “Son, you've a gift.  You keep writing and one day you'll write a hit, I know it.”  Mark clearly took his words and encouragement to heart.

Mark is a self taught musician.  He plays guitar, bass, piano and sings, and since becoming 'Born Again,' he credits the Grace of God for everything he does.  His musical influences include Yes, Rush, Boston, Mad at Gravity, Dream Theater, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Trevor Rabin, Steve Howe and Steve Hackett. Mark lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where, along with his musical aspirations, he is an aspiring author, penning his first novel.  It is a work of Science and Military fiction, written from a clearly Christian perspective, but pulls no punches.  As he is fond of saying, “Life isn't for the faint of heart and Christianity isn't for the timid nor cowardly. Neither is his story.”

Mark doesn't use his last name.  It's his way of applying (Jn 3:30-36 AMP) and  (Phil 3:12-16 AMP).

He continues to receive ideas from God and works them up writting and recording them.  Glory to God!  More to come!

A word from the artist:  “Friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, we as believers, have all given the right, privilege, assignment, and sole responsibility to be Ambassadors for Christ, and Ministers of His reconciliation,” (2 Cor 5:18-20 amp).  And we've all been given gifts, talents, (Matt 25:14-28 amp) and those giftings don't change, (Rom 11:29 amp)  Plus, we've been given the authority of Jesus on the earth (Luke 10:19 amp). Let's choose to use our God-given talents, ministry and authority to the Glory of God, not being merely pew sitters.  Remember, “Faith without works is dead”, ( James 2:18,20,26 amp) and so take back what we can, save all the willing we can.  For we don't force God on anyone.  We simply example and invite.  The choice is theirs.  We're neither perfect nor sinless but the forgiven, and so we can  live by example and invite.  Time is shorter now than ever before; let's be about our Father's business.  Lord Jesus bless you all... In Jesus, name, Amen.

Your brother in Christ,

Mark
